Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because I think she was a notable woman. She was very involved in New York philanthropy (founded and served as president for many well-known charities), she comes from a notable family and a notable building was commissioned in her honor, her son is well-known. Is there something in particular I need to add? --Popeye191 (talk) 21:35, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Heya. Coming from a prominent family does not make a person prominent. In wiki speak "notability is not inherited". I'm going to send this for an AfD discussion; I'm just not finding quality secondary sources to establish her own notability. - superβεεcat  23:09, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
