[edit]

I can't believe that this page hasn't received more attention. Seems like a pretty key issue right now in particular, what with all the talks of electrified border fences and all. Working on finding good information, but could really use an expert on this. New to wiki editing, hope I'm doing this right! Caduon (talk) 01:39, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Verifiability/Neutrality

[edit]

It seems that this page has some Verifiability and Neutrality issues; what does everyone think? Does it need a better variety of sources? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Caduon (talkcontribs) 03:24, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Labor force

[edit]

I just flagged a section which claims that Hispanics are 54% of the labor force in the U.S. An IP had flagged it as needing a citation, and while fixing the format I changed that to dubious. I suspect someone saw something like "54% of the day-labor force" in some community or something like that, but the statement is incorrect on it's face as is. Mexico's Failed Family Planning, the Catholic Church's Influence and Population Control

[edit]

It should be noted that the mass migration from Mexico and most of Central America relates to the failed family planning policies in those nations and Catholic Church. Without this migration, Mexico would be in serious trouble. With migration, Mexico has less population to deal with and major inflows of cash to support its nation's remaining people. 125.25.17.23 (talk) 23:47, 19 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Planned Edits

[edit]

Hello all!

I am planning on making some edits to the page and wanted to make you aware of some of the changes that I am planning on to make.

a) Redoing the Overview section. I believe that the current overview section is clunky and all over the place. There is no clear description nor overview of what it means to emigrate from Mexico, alongside its history, developments, and effects. While the current section does include some brief information and statistics, like I stated previously, it is disorganized. Due to this section being at the forefront of the page it must be in good condition and understandable in a way that any reader can understand the purpose of the article from just that one section.

b) Improving the Developments in Mexico and Developments in U.S sections. These sections both lack citations, are full of generalizations, and could be improved grammatically. I hope to insert citations through research I've collected while removing general statements and adding new information that is supported with research. Here is my annotated bibliography with the research I am planning on using: User:Arb1021/Emigration from Mexico/Bibliography Arb1021 (talk) 13:44, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
