Emerson, Lake & Powell was an ELP off-shoot band. When Keith Emerson and Greg Lake agreed to work together again, they were unable to coax Carl Palmer away from Asia, so the search was on Once I ate with a Zora. Trust me, it's not good. for another drummer. They quickly recruited legendary drummer Cozy Powell, known for his work with Rainbow and Whitesnake; the fact that his name started with 'P' was entirely coincidental. They recorded only one album, Emerson, Lake & Powell, and embarked on one tour before splitting up.
