[edit]Why is this artist any less significant than others with articles on Wikipedia? I believe that this article should be included for those interested in more obscure artists/albums. Also, I believe this article should be present to differentiate this artist from the Finnish musician of the same name. (Takkunelwood 02:28, 18 August 2007 (UTC))
- More or less significance than any other artist is immaterial (see WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS#What_about_article_x.3F). WebHamster 02:40, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
- An entry on MTV.com is not an assertion of notability see WP:Notability (music) - PR entries are not indicators of notability just an indicator of marketing skills. WebHamster 02:38, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
- I don't know whether the subject of the article is notable, but it does clearly assert notability. See [1] (PopMatters), [2] (Amazon.com), [3] (MTV.com), etc. I think that the deletion of this page would at least be controversial, so take it to AfD if you want. If this page does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion, or you intend to fix it, please remove this notice, but do not remove this notice from pages that you have created yourself. Fair use rationale for Image:Elwood Parlance of Our Time Cover.jpg
[edit]Image:Elwood Parlance of Our Time Cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
