[edit]How would I insert Image:Elliot minor pic.jpg into the info box? LastBlood 08:27, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
As I understand it (never done this myself), you have to upload the picture to Wikipedia. Then use the image name in the infobox. I think (but I'm not sure) that image namespace is implied in the img parameter of an infobox, see also WP:IMAGE. Preview should help, if it's not there when you use "Img = filename.ext", try "Img = Image:filename.ext". Images can't be renamed after upload, and uploading an image also means sorting out the copyright info for it. spaces in file names might break things, I'm not sure, you might need to use underscores in the filename parameter if you used spaces in the name of the uploaded file. Generally I think it's better not to use spaces in filenames when uploading files. DMcMPO11AAUK/Talk/Contribs 16:24, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
Comments
[edit]I think they also have a soft Power-Metallish sound, anyone agree? [[User:Scott|noprofileavailable]
I think the best words to descibe them would be "a load of old bollocks", this band are appaling
the bias of this article is ridiculous. this is just their bio.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.33.74.100 (talk) 18:33, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
while i agree that the article is not written very objectively I view it as unfair to state, as fact, that they are "a load of old bollocks".please in future say that you feel they aren't very good. However I think they are. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.199.166.50 (talk • contribs)
Genres and songs
They are part emo as well. They have admitted they're emo and they wear emo clothes. I think they should have emo rock put in their genres section.
Also, it says that all of their songs are original, i have a rare rock version of the enrique englasias song, 'do you know' which minor did. i tried adding that in but it got deleted off.
I agree with the comments about the cover versions. In addition to "Do You Know" the band have recently been performing "Bleeding Love" by Leona Lewis during radio appearances. I have noticed that the influences section is regularly changed to include bands or artists which are obviously not influences. Aqua, The Noise Next Door and Mc Hammer are just some examples. What can be done about this? Pezzium (talk) 23:14, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Citation
[edit]Can anyone find citation for the bulk of the article? I've googled but all the articles I see just refer to their classical training and not as much detail as is here. - Fiquem (talk) 18:27, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
Absolutely poor.
[edit]"They made great progress, but something was lacking: they needed a drummer!"
I mean, this entire article is really just complete crap, in the bias and the way it was written.
A few factual things, listening to the radio this minute, I heard Alex confirm him and others were originally classically trained, so it shouldn't be too hard to find credible text citation. He also mentioned knowing the other guys for a long time, and Ed Minton came along later.
Hope that helps someone to make this article semi readable. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.139.99.35 (talk) 17:37, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
I must agree, this is a very poor article. It smacks of bias and doesn't read like an encyclopaedia, more like a music label write up. I've tried cleaning it up as much as possible, band names are treated as plural in UK English, so please remember to use "are" not "is". I also removed Belfast from their "first abroad" tour, as it isn't aborad, being in the same country at the band! - hedpeguyuk 6 February 2008 8:50 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.137.119.250 (talk)
The band is from England not from Northern Ireland. Pro66 (talk) 18:53, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
You do know England is the same country as Northern Ireland, they're both constituent countries of the United Kingdom. 92.0.141.68 (talk) 15:50, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
- they are part of an union called United kingdom. they still both somewhat countries thats not independent but this is not about the nations its about the band. Pro66 (talk) 20:14, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
Genre
[edit]yeah, this happens with most bands, but can't people just put what the band classes themselves as on their Myspace (which is rock, pop and classical) or something? not what people think they should be? Just my opinion Matt 2601 atl (talk) 19:35, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
Just because they have some classical influences, I don't think the influence is strong enough to list that under their genres... 91.104.171.252 (talk) 13:03, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
I have to agree with that. To label this band as "Classical" sounds pretentious and inaccurate. Indeed one can hear a piano here, a string ensemble there, but that's pretty much it; i.e., nothing that any other band such as, say, Panic at the Disco or Queen haven't tried before. Their music couldn't be classified as anything else but your average radio-friendly emo/pop band.
Clean-up
[edit]I'm going to attempt to clean-up this article, throughout the months of November/December, but this is my first time doing anything other than typo fixing and the like can anyone suggest the the most useful WP articles to read before I start, such as reliable sources etc? Thanks. Matteh89 (talk) 13:14, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
