Not the first female engineer
[edit]Surely Zamfirescu was one of the first female engineers, but not THE first. The sentence in this article describes that she graduated university in 1912 with a chemistry degree which, allegedly, conferred her status as an engineer. However, take Nora Stanton Blatch Barney: Stanton graduated with an engineering degree in 1905, and she was accepted to the American Society of Civil Engineers that same year. So you can't say Zamfirescu preceded her as the world's first female engineer when Zamfirescu didn't even graduate until seven years later. Girona7 (talk) 23:23, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- I have amended this, as well as adding a reference to another European woman engineer that graduated before Zamfirescu too. Hope this helps! Smirkybec (talk) 21:01, 8 February 2015 (UTC)

Change, "Elisa Leonida Zamfirescu (10 November 1887 – 25 November 1973) was one of the world's first female engineers." to "Elisa Leonida Zamfirescu (1o November 1887 - 25 November 1973) was Europe's second female engineer." I have suggested this because it adds precision and prestige to her incredible accomplishment. Please reference, (http://reteaualiterara.ning.com/profiles/blogs/rom-nce-care-ne-fac-cinste-eliza-leonida-zamfirescu) for her graduation in 1912 from the Royal Academy of Technology with an engineering degree. Zamfirescu's graduate date was six years after Europe's first female engineer Alica Perry; who graduated in 1906 (Reference: https://www.dia.ie/architects/view/4332/PERRY-ALICEJACQUELINE).
