Contesting the speedy deletion

How is Eliran Elkayam any different than the numerous MLS players that have their own articles on Wikipedia? He has played all over the Israeli leagues and is far more notable than some of the American soccer players on wiki. NYC2TLV 19:50, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm removing the speedy delete tag. Having played in the Israeli Premier League he seems to meet the criteria at WP:BIO. PC78 21:26, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
