Wasn't Elgin named after Lord Elgin? Thanks Sirtrebuchet 05:29, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, but not the one famous for stealing, um... "acquiring" the Elgin Marbles, now in the British Museum.
- The Town of Elgin(Quebec) was named after James Bruce, the EIGHTH Lord Elgin, Governor-General of Canada, who was the son of the above purveyor of Greek antiquities.
