Farm leadership by Egor Kuroptev

[edit]

Dear collegue Grakov! Here is the relevant source for the statement that Egor Kuroptev was a lead of Elf Farm Project:

https://meduza.io/news/2024/02/09/fabrika-elfov-zanimayuschayasya-antikremlevskoy-propagandoy-prekraschaet-rabotu-soobschil-zhurnalist-andrey-zaharov

The exact quote:

Эту же информацию ему подтвердил Егор Куроптев — директор Центра стратегических коммуникаций фонда Free Russia Foundation (фонд «Свободная Россия»), который создал «фабрику эльфов».

In English: The same information was given to him by Egor Kuroptev, director of the Center for Strategic Communications of the Free Russia Foundation (Free Russia Foundation), which created the "elf factory."

No, there are no any word about Egor Kuroptev role in Elf Farm project, only about his position in Free Russia Foundation.
The part который создал «фабрику эльфов» (which created the "elf factory.) obviously related to FRF itself. And Egor don't called directly "creator" like.
I'm sad that you've devolved into such manipulation when you state something that is not in the quote you yourself cited and try to use any inaccurate and ambiguous wordings to push your position.
This also proofs that you're trying to violate WP:SOAPBOX. Grakov (talk) 16:59, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm also surprised you didn't bother to follow the link from the Medusa article to the source (Andrei Zakharov's Telegram channel) Grakov (talk) 17:26, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Meduza, Mediazona and Novaya Gazeta refer to Investigative journalist Zakharov's material. Kuroptev and other members of FRF do not refute this tropic in their comments to journalists
Meduza: Investigative journalist Andrei Zakharov writes, citing his sources, that the “elf factory” project is indeed being carried out by Free Russia Foundation coordinators Anton Mikhalchuk and Egor Kuroptev.
Mediazona: “From the office in Georgia, everyone [with whom I spoke] when asked about the FBK said: there is no FBK, the main ones were Egor Kuroptev and Anton Mikhalchuk,” journalist Andrei Zakharov
Novaya Gazeta: Another former employee of the project, whom the journalist knows personally, said that “all of Tbilisi” knew about the “elf factory.” “He also confidently points to Mikhalchuk and another Free Russia figure, Egor Kuroptev, as the project’s leaders,” Zakharov added.
Also, we have anothe source in SVTV:
Mediazona: The key employees of the bot farm in the SVTV article are named as the director of the Free Russia Foundation for the South Caucasus, Yegor Kuroptev, the coordinator of the same organization for the South Caucasus, Anton Mikhalchuk, IT specialist Pavel Elizarov, and the director of this foundation, Natalia Arno.
About SVTV material write Meduza and others
We have two materials: source of SVTV and critic of SVTV material Andrei Zakharov. Both agree that the Elf Factory was led by Kuroptev. And Kuroptev does not refute this statement, but on the contrary gives detailed comments on the work of the factory. Micheevs5 (talk) 19:49, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I will just leave here the link to MediaZona's and Novaya's publications:

https://novayagazeta.eu/articles/2023/11/16/fbk-boty-i-elfy
As said above, both state Kurpotev as a lead of Elf Factory. Unxed (talk) 21:27, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In the last paragraph, Kuroptev is directly called the “curator of the project.” Unxed (talk) 21:34, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
