This page is not unambiguously promotional, because I am not associated with Dr. Elena Long and have not met or worked with her. I feel that the biography requires some editing; perhaps changing the tone will help but the article has only been up for a few hours before the deletion was requested so there has not been an opportunity for more experienced editors to suggest improvements or edit themselves. I would welcome further edits as I am new to Wikipedia. I feel that Dr. Long is notable under WP:NACADEMIC under point.7: she has made a substantial impact outside of her academic career by improving research culture, especially for the LGBT+ community. This is reflected by the journal Nature (one of the highest impact journals in science) naming her as one of the top 10 trailblazers of 2016 and she is named in the Wikipedia article about oSTEM Out_in_Science,_Technology,_Engineering,_and_Mathematics. I would appreciate any comments regarding notability. Opto kitty (talk) 17:03, 28 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
