Checkfree bias
Checkfree is a reputable company in this space, but the article shouldn't have a bias. Removed link to a site sponsored by a Checkfree exec. Removed wp:weasel words referring to checkfree example site, left link and neutral wording.

ePayables
ePayables is an important aspect of EIPP. It would be nice to include information on this subset. Does anyone have objections? --Courtney L Brewer 22:14, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- This appears to be the brand name of a specific product. I have removed the section on it as this would make it Wikipedia:Spam. -- Beland (talk) 17:32, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
ePayables is a type of EIPP service. Several companies offer this type of functionality, and I am unaware of a certain product named 'ePayables.' Please reinstate the sub-section.Courtney L Brewer 14:54, 2 June 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by CourtneyLBrewer (talk • contribs)

Manoj is correct. EBPP is outbound B2C and is very different functionality from inbound B2B EIPP - Duncan Jones, leading Industry Analyst covering EIPP —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.131.225.21 (talk) 11:54, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
The electronic billing industry is slowly defining it's own terms and using these in articles/webpages and general syntax. Manoj has a good point about the tendency to mix up the different terms. Wikipedia should be the single reference where people can come and read up on each of the different terms to understand and distinguish between the use of each.
I would suggest a definition at the top any page related to this topic that sets out the different terms, models and uses.
eInvoicing - Electronic Invoicing / Electronic Invoice Presentment and Payment (EIPP) - B2B focused - generally Accounts Payable (AP) related - includes automation of delivery and receipt of the invoice data in machine readable format, integration with accounting AP systems and automatic payment where data on the invoice matches expected data on Purchase Order (PO). Goals and objectives of eInvoicing are focused on reducing costs associated with the processing of invoices, the removal of the need to recapture the financial information on the invoice and the automatic matching to information already in the accounting system such as purchase order information.
The European Commission's Expert Group on eInvoicing final report (Nov 2009) describes an einvoice as a "dematerialised invoice"
eBilling - Electronic Billing / Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP) - B2C focused - a process for delivery or presentment of a bill, statement or invoice to a end user customer base with the option for the customer to pay the bill electronically as well - generally Accounts Receivable related with the goal of saving costs by reducing print and postage and providing electronic payment processes. Delivery via email or presentment on a webpage are in human readable format. Pical (talk) 14:03, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
