An inquiry has been made to the 3rd reference for approval. I do not know how to move the article to and from my userspace until it is fully baked for discerning editorial approval.--Wikipietime (talk) 22:39, 24 November 2012 (UTC)

[edit]In the article there is mention that much has written about the place, yet only three references are mentioned, one with original research since the Bitter studio has been gone since the early twentieth century. I'd suggest doing much more research on this well documented pleasure park. Here's a start:

[edit]I created the article because I knew about it's existence and when I read the article Amusement Park and saw that there was no mention of what would have been the largest, earliest park in the most populated area of the country; I created it. Is it exhaustive?, absolutely not. Is it better than nothing? I would think even with limited coverage and detail that a small article is better than none. Maybe this should be on my talk page where someone suggested that it should be deleted and moved.--Wikipietime (talk) 15:06, 25 November 2012 (UTC)

This is so much fun seeing this wonderful topic/article blossom....the Eldorado was magically synergistic to the region and the nation. I have the Boris Kirafly' Bolossy Kiralfy, Creator of Great Musical Spectacles : An Autobiography Vol. 50 (1988, Paperback, Reprint) (Trade Paper, 1988) on the way for further exploration. He seems like the man of the times.--Wikipietime (talk) 13:23, 26 November 2012 (UTC)
Trolley Park predating Amusement parks .
[edit]If one looks at the history of closed trolley parks is becomes apparent that the Eldorado was certainly a pioneer, a real marvel. The elevator and trolley surely ushered in an era of utopian-ism. The shear numbers of visitors and national visibility of the Eldorado would seemingly contributed to the soon to be sky-rocketing growth; maybe even the "grand-daddy"? Also, the short life and sudden closing of the park, combined with the opening soon after of Palisades Amusement Park; would be a curious endeavor for exploration. I would suspect that Bonn would have envisioned tying the railway into the park for the entire region. Should this be on my talk page?, if so, sorry.--Wikipietime (talk) 16:46, 26 November 2012 (UTC)
Park founders - Palisades Amusement and Exhibition Company
[edit]Fell into financial difficulty as evidenced , http://query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=F00914FC3D5E10738DDDAD0994DC405B8185F0D3#
Seems, a section on the Company would seem proper. --Wikipietime (talk) 04:07, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
Operation dates
[edit]While researching Eldorado for a digital library page (describing an an illustration of the massive passenger elevator) I came across this entry and realized that the end date was inaccurate. I drew on library files and a 1948 history of neighboring West New York to flesh out the story some.
Once I track down my sign-in credentials I will upload an illustration from the cover of the Oct. 31, 1891 Scientific American with a nice view of the site. 65.211.97.242 (talk) 17:16, 6 September 2014 (UTC)JWB, New Jersey Room, Jersey City Public Library.
