Why the deletion of birth name?

[edit]

Why was El Duce's birth name deleted? Heck if I knew his middle name, but that's what it says on IMDB. KP Botany 00:31, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Burial

[edit]

Where was eldon buried? Was he cremated?? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.21.61.41 (talk) 21:03, 11 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Death

[edit]

It should also be noted that when he died, he was also in the state of intoxication.

[edit]

I tried to add material on Hoke's death, including his extreme abuse of alcohol, etc. (his bandmates coined "Duced" to mean "stoned to the max"), and the report that he gave the Nazi "heil" salute to the onrushing train. This resulted in a sharply worded personal message that my entry was contradicted by reliable evidence and was inappropriate for Wikipedia, so I took it back out. ~Dick Kimball

Quoting the aforesaid sharply worded message: "KP Botany (Talk | contribs) (5,851 bytes) (Please don't add unsourced rampant personal speculation to Wikipedia articles.)" There was also something about my material belonging in an essay, rather than Wikipedia, but the History page didn't pick that up.

I also received: "KP Botany (Talk | contribs) (5,819 bytes) (Who apparently thinks it is a suicide? Add references, sources, outside information, but don't speculate yourself. See WP:POV.)" which was mistaken, since: "Astanhope (Talk | contribs) (5,851 bytes) (death apparent suicide)" inserted a couple of days earlier. ~Dick Kimball

Well, your misquote of me[1] shows such little accuracy, that I stand by everything I said: Source it or don't post it, period. Don't bother making up quotes, or enhance my words to say something I didn't say, as the history is available for anyone to read. On the other hand, maybe you were actually "rampantly speculating" as you accused yourself of.... Just use four tildas to sign your user name. KP Botany 02:00, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

[edit]

I think this article could use better ones. I don't know, but the whole bit about Cobain seems rather sketchy. (Albert Mond (talk) 03:47, 11 December 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Photo

[edit]

Is there no better photo of the individual in question? One without a hood over his head would be nice. Coolgamer (talk) 04:40, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vague and confusing

[edit]

This is written in a way that makes little sense:

According to Max Wallace and Ian Halperin, Hoke showed up at his friend Drew Gallagher's home on April 17, 1997, asking where he could go to get a fake driver's license. Hoke was incredibly paranoid and nervous at this time. When Gallagher asked what he meant, Hoke responded, "People get buried in cornfields, people get lost in swamps". The author claims that Hoke secretly informed Gallagher of who he was and told him that he had "killed Kurt Cobain."

He shows up at his friend's house and "secretly informed (him) of who he was"? Wouldn't his friend recognize him? Or are we talking about someone else? And then the last sentence is immediately contradicted by the next...

While Hoke didn't actually claim to have killed Kurt Cobain, he did claim that Cobain's widow, Courtney Love, attempted to hire him to kill Cobain.

I'm assuming that multiple edits by various users has left the passage unclear. Can someone who has some idea of how all this is supposed to read fix? Cheers.

[edit]

El Duce was in another film, for about 3 minutes.
