I don't even know where to begin with this. I'm going to suggest deleting. Syzergy 03:47, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I began by not being freaked out. It desperately needs wikifying, but Eileen Nearn is a link from Special Operations Executive, so the article should be created at some point. I've added a little bit from some brief research, to make the context clearer. Of course, if it does turn out to be copy-vio, it will need to be re-done from scratch. Death

[edit]

I cannot believe she and her siblings were not awarded the Order of the Bath or the Order of St Michael and St George for their efforts. Outrageous. Rms125a@hotmail.com (talk) 03:52, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also,
More to the point re her death. It should be noted that she did not die on 2 September 2010; that was the date her body was found. Also until her date of birth are known, 1921 can only be a best guesstimate as her year of birth. Rms125a@hotmail.com (talk) 05:04, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

MBE or OBE?

[edit]

There seems to be contradictory reporting on this point.

MBE: Guardian OBE: New York Times (via Associated Press)

Since the majority of reports (and so far, all UK reports) say MBE, I think we should stick with that for now. It is possible (indeed, likely) that the AP reporter may not have firm knowledge of the distinction. I thought I would flag this here in case future reporting sheds more detailed light on the matter.--Jimbo Wales (talk) 23:30, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a link to the official announcement in the London Gazette for the MBE. MilborneOne (talk) 10:36, 31 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mother's surname?
