Questionable notability.

Notability
[edit]I looked through the Forbes.com article and the interview in the "Links" section; but these contain only very brief references to E. Turney, they are certainly not the base of the article. Does anyone have access to the 3 books cited? Do they actually contain significant coverage about this person? --B. Wolterding (talk) 22:21, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- No, they do not. You can search inside two of these books on Amazon.com. In the first, The Spirit of AMD, the word "Turney" appears on 19 pages. 11 of those pages are simply captions reading "Photo courtesy of Ed Turney". The others are the index and back matter, and four other pages (listed in the index), all of which are brief mentions or photo captions. In other words, there is no significant coverage of Turney in this book. The Making of Silicon Valley contains one reference to Turney, a passing mention in a list of AMD founders. Again, clearly not significant coverage. I can't search inside Inside Intel, but since it's not even about AMD I think it's safe to guess it doesn't have significant coverage either. Nevertheless, the article was kept at AfD. *shrug* Jfire (talk) 00:55, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- Let's try again later, that time not with a "procedural nom". Jobjörn (talk) 09:55, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
