Relationship between Alfred Mowbray Hutton and Beatrice May Hutton?

Ted Hockings is a junior partner of Alfred Mowbray Hutton and then, shortly after Hutton's death in 1911, Hockings takes on Bea Hutton as his pupil in 1913. Is the common surname just a tremendous coincidence or is there a relationship between them? Women architects were a rarity at that time, so Hockings was taking a big step. Had he already known Bea via Alfred? Bea's father was Falconer West Hutton and her grandfather James Hutton. Alfred's father was George Hutton. So the connection (if any) isn't immediately obvious. Intriguing. I had a solid search and turned up absolutely nothing on trying to establish a definitive connection between Alfred and Falconer, which is very odd, though I could find evidence that Hockings and Falconer did at least know each other. I'd be interested to know what ancestry resources turn up with. The Drover's Wife (talk) 09:32, 12 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've got an Ancestry subscription but didn't turn anything up (to the extent I researched it before I had to go out). But it seems architecture in Rockhampton did tend to be "all in the family" as Alfred's brother-in-law was Mr Flint, another earlier Rockhampton architect.
