Proper sourcing and citation; Excessive edits from IP hopper; User impersonating username

I have been editing this article in good faith for several weeks now. A user with an anonymous IP has repeatedly undone my edits -- edits that I have supported with analysis, consistent with the best practices and customs of the Wikipedia community. The anonymous IP user has failed to offer any analysis whatsoever as to why my edits are unacceptable. Recently, the edits from the anonymous IP user stopped, but the same undoing activity continues by a user who has duplicated my username but who has appended "2" to it, in an apparent attempt to add confusion to the process. This user's conduct is clearly abusive, as he is offering absolutely no rationale whatsoever to undoing my edits, other than to say, essentially, that I have been reported for "vandalism." It is not vandalism if the edits are made in good faith and in accordance with Wikipedia usage guidelines. Having said all of that, this article contains many claims that are not supported whatsoever by any citation. Where citations have been offered, the substance discussed in the removed sentences are not discussed on the referenced URLs. Those are the only edits that I have been making. I have only made edits to try to improve this article. If you look deep enough into the history, you will see there has been very little contribution to this article from the Wikipedia community at large. It basically only has edits from (1) a user who has the username equivalent to the person who is the subject of the article, indicating a possible biased source, (2) the anonymous IP user who appears now to have changed his username to my username plus "2" (i.e., User:JamesDC2, (3) me. The citations are also erroneous on this article and do not conform to proper citation style. I've had a quick look at the latest set of changes, and you appear to be removing referenced content without explanation (though I apologise if I've missed any explanations earlier in the edit war - it is rather hard to follow). If you want to remove content, but another editor disputes your removal by putting it back, you should explain your reasoning here on the Talk page and try to gain a consensus. What I suggest you might like to do while the article is protected is explain the reasons why your preferred version of the article, with those portions of content removed, is the better one - that way, we might be able to get a consensus before the article is unprotected. (Also, please note that User:JamesDC2 has been indefinitely blocked due to a violation of Wikipedia's username policy, as you can see on their Talk page.) -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 18:42, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

No problem. However, please note that explanations were in fact offered for all of the deletions on a number of occasions, including most recently on 21:57, 13 December 2010. I will add individual explanations on this page in short order for all the edits that remain in dispute. Please also note that the dispute over these edits has come almost exclusively from an IP hopper and a user who has impersonated my username, presumably the same person. The original author of this article, User:Ewyckoffwilliams, is no longer making edits to this article (at least under his own username), adding increased doubt to the dubious nature of the unsourced claims. Wyckoff Wiliams' Purported/Alleged Upcoming Books

I have removed (several references) to Wyckoff Williams' purported/alleged upcoming books, Open Letter to Collect on Debt and The Day My Father Died, I was in Rio. Not a single citation or URL has been offered to support that these books are real, authorized, or commissioned works. Not a single publishing company, for example, has issued a press release confirming that the books are, in fact, slated for release in the near future. A credible source to substantiate these claims is required, per the Wikipedia community policy and guidelines. My deletions of these sentences has been serially undone by a user at an anonymous IP address, and then subsequently by a user who has now had his Wikipedia account blocked due to violating the username duplication policy (duplicating my username, plus "2", in an apparent attempt to add confusion and to dissuade other would-be editors of this article from the Wikipedia community. Career: Wyckoff Williams as Political Commentator for WVON Radio

I have repeatedly deleted a sentence in which it is claimed that Wyckoff Williams is a political commentator at WVON radio in Chicago. A URL was originally provided by an anonymous IP address editor to this article, purportedly in support of this claimed affiliation. However, the referenced URL contains no mention whatsoever of Wyckoff Williams or confirmation that he is affiliated in any capacity (formally or informally) with the radio station. Death of EWW

Hi I am Edward Williams’s high school friend. He passed away on March 10, 2022. Someone in Ireland keeps changing his page back, whenever I add his death date and information. Also, he was born I. 1977, making him 45 years old. Someone keeps changing that as well. His mother was ill when he died, so they did not do a public memorial or announce his death in the newspapers. Please stop changing this information back. If you are looking for sources, check his Facebook page, where his brother has posted about his death. EWW was gay

Why did you remove the LGBT African American tag when he literally wrote an article about being Gay, Black, and confronting his abuser - that is cited in the Wikipedia page? He later won 2 GLAAD Awards - 1 for that very article & was a United Nations gay spokesman.
