Chairman Dies photograph unecessary

[edit]

While the HUAC forms a crucial part of this article's subject, the particular photograph of Chairman Dies displayed does not belong here, as the incident portrayed has nothing to do with the article's content. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.164.94.40 (talk) 03:45, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Need Clarification and Citation for "Communist Party-sponsored" Nature of Joint Anti-Fascist Refugee Committee

[edit]

This page mentions that the Joint Anti-Fascist Refugee Committee was a "Communist Party-sponsored organization." First, the term "sponsored" should be clarified. Does it merely mean that they had overlapping memberships or that the Communist party created or supported (and how?) the J. A.-F. R. Committee for some further goal? Second, the main pages for (1) the Joint Anti-Fascist Refugee Committee, and (2) the Joint Anti-Fascist Refugee Committee v. McGrath do not mention that the J. A.-F. R. Committee was sponsored by the Communist Party. If indeed the Committee was sponsored by the Communist party, then those pages should mention it and all three pages should point to the source. Otherwise, this page should be edited to remove that reference. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ngeorgak (talkcontribs) 12:57, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
