The City vs. New York City
[edit]I just reverted a minor edit. I think the reverted version better fits the Strunk and White admonition to "Omit needless words". I'm relatively new. Is this in keeping with WK policy and or norms? David in DC 23:21, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
The Knesset
[edit]I deleted the "Knesset" from the list of buildings designed by Edward Durell Stone. It was designed by Joseph Klarwein (1893-1970). Maybe this mistake occured because the United States Embassy in New Delhi, built in 1958, is very similar in it's style to the Knesset building. Sources: "Knesset" in the German Wikipedia; Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Nr. 181, August 7, 2007, Page 7.
- I was the author of the K'nesset entry. I was wrong. I found confirmation last night on the official website of the K'nesset.Interestingly, they directly reference the Stone New Delhi Embassy too. Thanks for correcting my error. David in DC 15:50, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
First Canadian Place
[edit]First Canadian Place in Toronto deserves a mention in the article, as it happens to be Canada's tallest tower (designed by Stone, of course). Its white marble cladding has also deteriorated in an unattractive way, and is currently being replaced with glass.A.Roz (talk) 22:38, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
