RS for death

The article shows Knapp as having died in 2009, but doesn't have a reliable source to that effect. The information was added in this edit by a user with no other contributions, before or since. This obituary corroborates the information, but we generally don't take classified-copy obits (rather than editorial obits) to be reliable sources, as they're effectively self-published. This gives the same death date - is it a reliable source?
