Mapmaking no big deal

The construction of maps is nothing new. People have been doing this with considerable accuracy for several hundred years. There are tens of thousands of people who have done as much or more. Washington, for example was a surveyor, and most likely, a map-maker. But for that alone, he would not have been notable. If Vincent is here for designing the train station, he probably is notable. If he is here for "cartography" the article most certainly should be deleted. Student7 (talk) 16:08, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
