Some edits
Hi there. I have made some (quite) big edits to this article. An abstract of what I have been doing, and why:
- Rewriting the lead: I have deleted all the unsourced information and replaced them by an abstract of the classic "curriculum" in Lithuania( comprehensive and vocational education). It is far from being perfect, but at least, the lead is now based on 2 strong reliable sources.
- Rewriting of "vocational education": The text, while giving lots of small details, was really vague on what it was referring to exactly. As the previous author seemed to know what he/she is talking about, I have just deleted some confusing sentences and tried to put some order by using my text of the lead... I have also added tons of "citation needed".
- Creation of the external link section: I have chosen to put the 2 "official authorities" websites and 2 short reports from UNESCO organizations on Education in Lithunia. The first is general while the second is focused on vocational education. I like to highlight those 2 for their complementarity, conciseness and reliability.
- deletion of "general education": I haven't found this term anywhere and I find it confusing (it is usually used for "comprehensive education").
What could be done:
- This article NEEDS references. The article is quite big and has almost no inline citations.
- careful copy/edit would also be nice. My level of english is not amazing, but the article seems globally well-written to me. The problem is that the main author obviously didn't know much about the Manual of Style. I have deleted some obvious mistakes, but many must still be there...
I don't have much time but if you are motivated to work hard on this article, just reply to this text or send me a message. I would gladly give a hand. Regards KaptainIgloo (talk) 10:42, 24 June 2014 (UTC)
