I would appreciate any comments, particularly those pointing out errors of wikipedia convention. I know the link "1" in the page body (supporting the fact that an official was sentenced to five years) isn't correctly formatted.Eh Nonymous 17:54, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Per WP:CONTEXT and WP:MOSDATE, years, decades, and centuries without full dates generally should not be linked. For example, January 2006 should not be linked, instead change it to January 2006. Also, please note WP:BTW and WP:CONTEXT, which state that years with full dates should be linked. For example, February 28, 2006, should be come February 28, 2006.
  • This article is a bit too short, and therefore may not be as comprehensive as WP:WIAFA critera 2(b) is looking for. Please see if anything can be expanded upon.
  • There are a few sections that are too short and that should be either expanded or merged.
  • The lead of this article may be too long, or may contain too many paragraphs. Please follow guidelines at WP:LEAD; be aware that the lead should adequately summarize the article.
  • The lead is for summarizing the rest of the article, and should not introduce new topics not discussed in the rest of the article, as per WP:LEAD. Please ensure that the lead adequately summarizes the article.
  • The article will need references. See WP:CITE and WP:V for more information.
  • This article needs footnotes, preferably in the cite.php format recommended by WP:WIAFA. Simply, enclose inline citations, with WP:CITE or WP:CITE/ES information, with <ref>THE FOOTNOTE</ref>. At the bottom of the article, in a section named “References” or “Footnotes”, add <div class="references-small"><references/></div>.

Closure - not imminent, but intended

[edit]

Lots of news stories from 2022 about the closure. No timeline. No info about concrete steps. Maybe I’ll check back in 6 months and see if anything has moved. Eh Nonymous19406 (talk) 16:50, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Relevance and NPoV correction

[edit]

This passage is not relevant/does not fall under “sexual misconduct”:

“In April 2022, it was revealed that a transgender inmate had impregnated two female inmates at the prison after they had consensual sex.”

It should be either removed or moved to another section to protect the article’s NPOV. 3lyre3 (talk) 23:31, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, because it’s also under the heading of incidents listed in a 2020 report, and occurred in 2022, and is also not an instance of misconduct, I’ve gone ahead and removed it with this comment:
“Corrected a NPOV/relevance issue by removing information listed under a misleading heading.
“The section concerned a 2020 sexual misconduct report, the incidents listed therein, and the outcomes of the report. A paragraph was added regarding consensual sex with a trans inmate in 2022, which - under the heading of “misconduct” and within the topic of a 2020 report - lacked relevance and was also a NPOV issue.” 3lyre3 (talk) 23:39, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
