Rule suggestion

[edit]

I hereby move to create a rule that people aged over 100 are allowed to write their own bios ;-). Pcb21| Pete 07:43, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)

So...?

[edit]

Why exactly does it say this person is from both Long Island and NYC, just so people know, they're not actually the same place, people from LI just like to pretend they are--67.87.44.11 12:57, 5 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Born in NYC, later lived out. Pcb21| Pete 13:48, 5 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Contacting the eponymous Wikipedian

[edit]

If you need to contact Ed Poor (the living person!) about something, please do so at User_talk:Ed Poor, not here. As Ed himself explains...

People who are trying to leave messages for me will likely be more satisfied if they leave messages on my user talk page than if they leave them here. This is the talk page for the article about my grandfather, not a place to talk to me. I rarely read this.

Confused

[edit]

I'm kind of confused. Is User:Ed Poor the Ed Poor or this article? If so, then why does it say that he died? Also, can someone show me where you aren't supposed to put "non-notable" biographies on Wikipedia? I understand the idea of not writing your own bio , but the one about non-notable ones seems a little...less lenient. I don't mean to be controversial...I just wondered if anyone could enlighten me here...thanks in advance.--ViolinGirl 17:03, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I believe Ed Poor would be User:Ed Poor's father. He wrote an article about his mother also, Riva Poor. Friday (talk) 17:07, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I recall him refering to Ed Poor as 'grand-dad' once or twice--1 use 17:19, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • You clearly missunderstand, he moved the article here, but left its talk page at the old article, this talk page, for some reason, actually is a very old archive of User_talk:Ed Poor, probably the result of a typo during a page move, if you look back 2 or three edits you'd notice that--1 use 01:42, 26 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Merge

[edit]

Anyone else think a merge with Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation might be appropriate? Friday (talk) 21:20, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Note

[edit]

He's my grandfather. --Uncle Ed (talk) 19:30, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
