Since underglaze blue can only be removed by scraping away the glaze, and since painted marks are applied over the glaze and may or may not be subsequently vitrified by refiring, I wonder what the "questions" about Samson fakes are really based on.--Wetman (talk) 17:44, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The idea that someone is a forger because a person who has bought his/her work and passed it off as something it was not is ludicrous. The entire section on "Copyist or forger" should be redone. If you have no documentary evidence that Samson deliberately passed off work as being by someone else, if there are no records of Samson being even charged with counterfeiting, never mind being convicted, then he is not a bloody forger!184.148.67.99 (talk) 19:25, 10 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
