Which Excellencies where Edith's godparents?

[edit]

Edith has dedicated her book to her godparents:

 To their Excellencies
 Michael Nicolaevitch and Sophie Nicolaevna
 de Kapoustine

...but I am not 100% sure who they are. Russian names when anglicised can be changed a bit, and Russian family names seem to change with each generation? (N.B. In the original dedication, the font used was ALL CAPS, so I have made assumptions in my transcription of it as to which letters I think should be capitials.)

There is a Grand Duke Michael Nikolaevich of Russia (1832 – 1909). He had a son Grand Duke Michael Mikhailovich of Russia(1861 – 1929) who married a Sophie of Merenberg. Powertothepeople (talk) 13:16, 14 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Linking stories to wikipedia entries

[edit]

As Edith collected Russian folklore, many of her stories may have entries already in wikipedia but perhaps under slightly different names. Be good to explore this.
