I edited this page to include more factual information about the Edible Schoolyard and its affiliate programs. Most of the information is from the Edible Schoolyard website.MiaRM (talk) 20:57, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I edited this page to make it more neutral - previously the criticism section comprised the majority of the page, with particularly undue weight given to Caitlin Flanagan. I plan to update the entry with more factual information about the curriculum of the edible schoolyard and the status of the ESY affiliates.MiaRM (talk) 00:03, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Montessori roots

[edit]

Alice Waters trained as a Montessori teacher and acknowledges that she got the basic idea of children growing and eating their own food from that program. I admit I have not seen much discussion of this idea in the Montessori articles either, but I have no doubt that the linkage exists. I think it would enrich the article to have a mention of that source here; and it would also be good to have a see also there. I suppose I have to find some references. Or maybe someone else can. --AJim (talk) 19:07, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
