Objection to the redirection of this page. Reasons being:

  • There are many long-standing articles on Northern Irish villages which are shorter and less extensive even than this one, which are deemed notable.
  • Page redirected to (Carrickfergus) holds no information on this village, nor does it reproduce any information from this article.

Also, an outline of the reasons behind tagging as possible not-notable article. Thanks. Keys767 (talk) 15:06, 13 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • This article is about a part of Carrickfergus, not a stand-alone village.
  • It's very short and most of the article is about the "Eden Allotments".
  • It's an orphan.
  • It seems doomed to be a permastub.

It may be a part of Carrickfergus, but it feautures a distinctly seperate community from the main town. Also, the Carrickfergus article has little to no info. on Eden.
I have updated the article and am searching for suitable references in the hope that the article can remain in stand-alone form.

Firstly, it's impossible to prove that the area has "a distinctly separate community" and secondly, any important info about Eden can surely be added to Carrickfergus. ~Asarlaí 16:47, 13 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the notability tag. Logainm describes Eden as a population centre within the barony of Carrickfergus [1]. Also as it is the name of a ward, the articles intro could be rewritten to make it clear that the article is a population centre and a ward rather than saying there is a ward of the same name. This would improve its notability. Mabuska (talk) 12:53, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
