Reverting Page
I just reverted this page, which had been vandalized apparently - the earliest historical period had been deleted without reason. If someone wishes to make that drastic a change to an article, it should be disussed here first. Thanks! Kat Malone (talk) 19:05, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
NPOV
The history section is written like marketing content rather than an encyclopedia article - loaded with weasel words and entirely unsourced. It needs a complete re-write, or should be eliminated entirely and re-created from scratch with a more neutral tone. --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 23:54, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
- I am going to research citations for this section after now updating the internal links. Kat Malone (talk) 16:39, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
Changes
I have been doing research and am working toward updating this article to focus on the business and the heritage of Eddie Bauer the man and the company as it relates to the business. I am looking to getting some references to support the info. --Samuronin (talk) 07:32, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
- Is this section relevant? I suggest toning this entire Expedition section down into one concise paragraph or two highlighting the expeditions that he was involved in, as much of this history isn't related directly to the company. Kat Malone (talk) 16:43, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah I agree. And the recent trips in South America have absolutely zero notability.

- The reason I believe the South American expeditions are worth mentioning is because I've been reading about how they field tested this current/new First Ascent line on those expeditions and this is a big deal for the company as they are pushing it even after the bankruptcy. I've been looking at the Expedition Heritage part and maybe that could be edited down a bit, maybe just a list and a brief statement as to why each expedition is notable for the company. --Samuronin (talk) 17:36, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
Could not the history section be moved to the biography (if there is one) of Eddie himself? Then the history section could be briefer and simply link there?

Hi, I am the social media specialist at Eddie Bauer. In the interest of maintaining a neutral POV, I would be happy to provide resources from or access to the Eddie Bauer archives or various historians we've worked with to assist Samuronin or another individual with data to write his or her own entry regarding Eddie Bauer the man.
