Please add the following details, taken from the cited BBC article:
Replace these sentences:
- ...
He attended Catholic University of America, majoring in speech and drama. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1949. He was a member of Phi Kappa Theta fraternity. McMahon began his career as a bingo caller in Maine when he was fifteen.
with this one: (it's up to you whether you try to preserve the unsourced details from above that are not contradicted by the BBC obit)
- McMahon worked as a bingo caller during school summer holidays, and studied electrical engineering in college.<ref name="bbcobit">{{cite web| url = http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/8115052.stm | title = American TV star Ed McMahon dies | publisher = [[BBC]] | date = 23 June 2009 | accessdate = 2009-06-24}}</ref>
Replace this:
His first broadcasting job was at WLLH-AM in his native Lowell and he began his television career in Philadelphia at WCAU-TV.L
with this:
- McMahon's first job after college graduation was as a television producer in Philadelphia.<ref name="bbcobit"/>

Not done: Thanks for wanting to improve the accuracy of this article. The only point of conflict between the obit and the existing text seems to be the nature of his college studies. If you'd like to request that change, I'd oblige, but I'd rather find another source to resolve the conflict; did he change majors, did he major in speech and drama but take EE courses for their usefulness to a radio carreer?
