Define time frame

Not only is a dated source used (Stites), but the article is vague as to what period it is addressing - historic Iroquois just before and after European encounter? Some references are made to the time period, but generally not until well into the narrative of certain sections. I think it should be clarified in the Lead and all sections addressing the economies before the American Revolution, as it was after that they were generally reduced to reservations. Also, there is a big gap between the early 19th century and late 20th-century adoption of gambling as a revenue source. What did they do in between - other than work on skyscrapers.
