Hello everyone, I am working for the International Trade Centre (ITC). I would like to propose the addition of an external link that could lead directly to the specific country’s trade data held by ITC. I would like you to consider this link under the WP:ELYES #3 prescriptions. Moreover, the reliability and the pertinence of this link can be supported by the following facts 1) ITC is part of the United Nations 2) No registration is required 3) Trade data (imports/exports) are regularly updated 4) The link gives direct access to the trade database of the specific country 5) The addition of reliable trade data to the Economy section of the country could provide an appropriate contribution to the information therein contained. Thank you for your attention.Divoc (talk) 08:38, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Data Table faulty

[edit]

I was a bit irritatd when I read, that according to the data table presented the DR Congo had a 135% unemployment rate in 2000, and decided to check the source. It seems like the numbers in our row labled "unemployment rate" are actually the numbers for the Gouvernment Gross debt in the source (which makes the 135% number make a bit more sense). This should probably be corrected. The other data in the table is in accordanvce to the source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 1234567891011a (talkcontribs) 19:09, 13 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Coltan

[edit]

I removed the 70% of the words coltan(tantalum) reserves. The BBC article doesnt mention a source for this.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/1009135/global-tantalum-reserves-by-country/

I cannot really seem to find any numbers for Congo's coltan(tantalum) ore reserves in comparison with other countries. Considering the fact that many numbers regarding Congos minerals are rather dubious(the 24 trillion for instance), I would be careful. LouisBStevenson (talk) 09:33, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
