[edit]Good as the map is, it's probably not right for a village in Derbyshire I think. --VinceBowdren 16:19, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Article expansion
[edit]There must be more of significance about Eckington than just the schools, which currently make up a significant proportion of article. History, Economy, past growth of the village to small town ? Added to WP Derbyshire, to bring to more peoples attention.BulldozerD11 (talk) 11:12, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
Pondering if this should cover the parish of Eckington, or just the town. The name is used for both. PoisonedPigeon (talk) 18:21, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
Is the stuff about the accent really necessary though; by some measure, everywhere has its own accent? PoisonedPigeon (talk) 18:21, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
Lots of interesting stuff at http://www.aboutderbyshire.co.uk/cms/places/eckington.shtml if someone wants to cannibalise PoisonedPigeon (talk) 18:25, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Parish of Eckington
[edit]The category has been added to this article, however the article is written about the town not the parish (which also includes the settlements of Marsh Lane, Renishaw, Derbyshire, Spinkhill, Ridgeway and Troway. PoisonedPigeon (talk) 09:59, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
