Copyright issues

Before I edited it, this article had been 99.5% lifted from the MacTutor biography (now it's down to about 98%). Even though the authorship note at MacTutor is somewhat bizarre, and the quality of the text is uncharacteristically poor, this state of affairs is quite unsatisfactory.
