I was the recipient of this prize in 2014. This page existed since 2015 but only as a redirect to the page Ebbe Nielsen which I found somewhat unsatisfactory, since it is a prize established by GBIF and not by the latter person, also (in my opinion) is deserving of a page in its own right. I have taken the opportunity to expand this page with relevant detail on the prize, its history and its recipients 2002-2014, with relevant citations. As at today, the article has been tagged by another user as "The topic of this article may not meet Wikipedia's general notability guideline". Since I have declared a COI as disclosed above, I remove myself from discussion of the Prize's notability or lack thereof, but would be grateful if others would contribute further to this discussion and hopefully removal of the tag at the appropriate time. BTW, I believe there are sufficient independent (i.e., non GBIF-sourced) citations to remove the "notability" tag now, but realize that I am not the person to make that call. Tony 1212 (talk) 02:18, 21 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
