"six children to seven different women"?
Quite an accomplishment... Savidan 16:20, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
- That must be what "half-brother/sister" means ;-) Cavie78 (talk) 16:35, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
- Exactly what I was thinking hahahaha. Unless a miracle took place, I am assuming this person meant to say "six different women". Should I change it? Edit: I actually found a source that says "seven children with six different women": http://swindlemagazine.com/issue02/eazy-e/ Glad that's cleared up :D Basilisk4u (talk) 05:41, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
February 2011 - Dr. Dre music video
I was watching the music video for "I Need A Doctor" by Dr. Dre featuring Eminem and Skylar Grey, and at the end, Dre references Eazy-E, the last scene in the video if him standing at the grave of Eric Wright. I think this should be included within the article. Eric 324 (talk) 03:49, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

Most definitely relevant to the section about their feud, I believe. (209.195.69.106 (talk) 18:51, 5 June 2011 (UTC)) Actually, I just noticed this sentence in the article: "During the week of March 20, having already made amends with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, Eazy-E drafted his last message to fans." Thinking about it, as their feud seemed to have ceased before Eazy-E's death, his tombstone in Dr.Dre's video doesn't seem as worthy of mention. (209.195.69.106 (talk) 18:57, 5 June 2011 (UTC))
And where are the artists who have been inspired and influenced by Eazy-E?
I do not know if you noticed, but from what I have understood there are many rappers who have been inspired and influenced by Eazy-E, among them I can name a Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, 2Pac, South Park Mexican (who has a song entitled "Boys on da Cut" for the song "Boyz n the Hood"), Brownside, will.i.am, Three 6 Mafia (who have sampled the song "Eazy-Duz-It") and The Notorious BIG. And all this we should put on your legacy, believe me, they should put on artists who were inspired and influenced by Eazy-E in order to fill more the article.

- Lead
- Everything in the lead meets the criteria, IMO, so I will pass it
- Early Life
- Delink words that are already in the lead, such as "Compton, California", "Los Angeles", and "Ruthless Records".
- "In 1986, at the age of 23, Wright had allegedly earned as much as $250,000 from dealing drugs." - that money value is the first mention of US Currency, right? Link United State dollar on either "$" or add pipelink it as USD in parenthesis, e.g. $250,000 (USD).
- Musical Career
- Some words are over linked again: "Ruthless Records", " Dr. Dre", and "Ice Cube"
- Legal issues
- Pass
- Death
- Pass
- Musical influences and style
- Over linking again on the first line alone, delink: "Ice-T", "Redd Foxx", "King Tee", "Bootsy Collins", "Run-D.M.C.", "Richard Pryor", "The Egyptian Lover", "Schoolly D", "Too $hort", "Prince", "The Sugarhill Gang", and "George Clinton". Further into the section: "Eazy-Duz-It", "Ice Cube, The D.O.C., and "MC Ren" (twice in the third paragraph), "The D.O.C.", "MC Ren". In the legacy section: "Billboard 200", "Eazy-Duz-It", and "Real Muthaphuckkin G's".
- Discography
- Pass
- References
- Don't write the title in all capital, like correct #53 "ABOUT THE OFFICIAL HIP HOP HALL OF FAME AND PRODUCER JT THOMPSON"
- Some of the references don't have accessdates, I am not talking about the references to books and magazines, I mean the refs that are online. Example, there are no accessdates for the following references:
- Ref #3
- Ref #5
- Ref #6; also why does the published date read "2006-03-2006", rather than "2006-03-26"?
- Refs #9 - #11
- Ref # 16
- Ref # 27
- Ref # 29
- Ref # 35
- Ref # 38
- Ref # 53
- Template:Cite web says that retrieval date "should be given if the publication date is unknown", so I only fixed #11. CrowzRSA 21:49, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

In the infobox where it saids died it saids he was 32 when he died that is not correct because he was born on September 7, 1963 and died on March 26, 1995; so he died before his 32nd birthday; and that explains why it should say 31 because he was 31 when he died.

Done by SunCountryGuy01. Crazymonkey1123 (Jacob) (Shout!) 19:12, 3 April 2011 (UTC) He was actually born on September 7th 1964. His widow actually got the birth year wrong on his tombstone. Please confirm with his eldest daughter, Erica Wright on IG handle: wrknwn0feelns. His family has been angry for years ago this. Please research this. His mother has also confirmed he was born in 1964. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.111.140.36 (talk) 22:10, 28 September 2015 (UTC)

Easy E's death date was 1995 aged 32 not 1995 aged 31
199.126.50.82 (talk) 18:52, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
- Not done If the dates in the article are correct, September 7, 1963 – March 26, 1995, then age 31 is correct - his 31st birthday was on September 7, 1994, and he died six months after that. Looking at the first few online sources in the article, the Los Angeles Times and Rap News agree with this. However, AllMusic says he was born in 1964, in which case he was only 30 when he died.
- I don't see anyone saying that he made it to 32. -- John of Reading (talk) 17:36, 27 December 2011 (UTC)

Death
The death section is incorrect. Eazy-E never made any amends with Dr Dre or Snoop Dogg. Dr Dre is on record, in his cover interview in The Source magazine July 1996, as stating he visited Eric at the hospital one time, but Eric was no longer conscious by this point and "he never knew I was there". Snoop never visited Eric - why would he? They were never associates. Please see the DJ Yella interview from Dr Dre's Aftermath website reiterating this point:
Aftermathmusic.com: Where all of you guys in the hospital? DJ Yella: I only got to see him one time. He was already like in a coma. Dre came in later … I don’t know if Cube or Ren came to see Eazy. http://www.aftermathmusic.com/blog/interviews/2003/dj-yella-october-2003/
Secondly, Eric never publicly acknowledged his condition. As described in Jerry Heller's autobiography, 'Ruthless', his decline in physical and mental well being was rapid in 1995. By the time the statement was drafted Eric had been in a medically induced come for some time and would shortly be dead. His longest serving collaborator and closest NWA associate DJ Yella has always been on record as stating the written statement was not by Eric, deriding it's tone and use of language. Jerry Heller in his book also backs Yella and says those were not Eric's words. Yella's words in 1996:
"When they read that famous letter at the press conference, Eazy was already in a coma the day before. I don't know who actually wrote the letter. Those aren't his words because he would've cussed in his regular way. Once I heard the first couple of lines I knew that it wasn't him. He was in a coma."
This information perhaps needs to be added in some way to the article, as the people who were there and closely involved with Eric as well as even those mentioned, such as Dre, contradict the story that is currently being presented in the death section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.101.173.63 (talk) 22:12, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
Proposed merge-in of Easy-E's son here (copied from Talk:Easy-E)
It think Lil eazy-e article might have trouble passing notability at AfD, it might, it might not, it would seem to meet WP:GNG, but WP:NOTINHERITED gets read a variety of ways. Much of the sourcing here is wrapped up in this Easy-E's life, and as a matter of writing a better article, I think there might be encyclopedic value to merging the two stories together. --j⚛e deckertalk 00:07, 3 July 2012 (UTC)
- I agree; the current article on Lil eazy-e does not have any sources, but could be sourced and added to his father's bio. Bearian (talk) 16:33, 3 July 2012 (UTC)

(Non-)Relation to Charles Wright
The article claimed that Eric Wright is the nephew of Charles Wright of Charles Wright & the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band.
The claim was not cited, and I cannot find a good source making that claim. I found what appears to be a good source (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/obituary-eazye-1614134.html) claiming Charles was Eric's father, but this source contains at least one other highly dubious claim (it says Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre are half-brothers). And I could not find any other sources supporting either of those claims. Thus, I do not consider this a good source.
Another source (http://www.soul-patrol.com/funk/chas_cht.htm) contains an interview with Charles Wright in which Wright disclaims any relation to Eazy-E, and while I suspect that is accurate, it doesn't appear to be a high-quality source either.
Accordingly, I have removed this claim.
Ajr5491 (talk) 02:00, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
The two Charles are two different men. Eric Wright's father was named Charles but was not in the band. Years ago in an AOL interview Charles from the band said he was not related to Eric Wright and that NWA had only sampled his music for Express Yourself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.111.140.36 (talk) 22:12, 28 September 2015 (UTC)

Theories on Eazy's Death Section
The entire paragraph about death conspiracy theories is very poorly written and unprofessional (using "U" instead of "you", run-on sentences), but the section saying that Suge Knight killing Eazy "could be true" is absolutely not biographical. I would edit it but the page is locked. Please change the paragraph to make it more reflect a neutral/biographical tone
Death section is horribly written.
The first paragraph is reasonably well written, but the second paragraph is absolutely atrocious. It reads like a 14 year old wrote it- it even substitutes "u" for "you" in a spoken quote. The claims made in it are also largely uncited, and the citations at the very end do not even support the text. 50.193.77.65 (talk) 15:11, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
