What a shame

[edit]

This discography seems to be no more than a list of singles and endless best of albums.... Needs alot of work this one. Dutchdean (talk) 21:21, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Taken this on

[edit]

Have finally cleaned up the endless list of 'Best of' and collections on the albums discography. I have included only ORIGINAL studio and Live albums. I will add Guest Apperance albums later. Dutchdean (talk) 22:38, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Seeco single

[edit]

Under singles, the article notes: 1952: "Tierre Va Tembla" / "Caliente" (US; SEECO; SR-8242) The two tracks were recorded in 1952 but there is no reference of a release until Billboard Magazine cites a Seeco EP in October 1953. Discogs has the 78 listed with the number 4141, not SR-8242. Judging by other databases online, the SR- prefix is for matrix numbers. The Bear Family discography in the "Eartha-quake" CD box set would have more detail, but I don't currently have it to hand. Seeco 4141 dates from 1954, based on the catalogue number sequence and Billboard reviews of those surrounding releases. I always got the impression it was her first single, but I now think it was probably her first recording session, and not issued until after she had made a name for herself with singles on RCA Victor.
