[edit]yo we should take out that bit about the community being paralyzed, it's kinda ableist — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:191:8100:F59A:557E:E8BF:D5D9:E1C1 (talk) 18:21, 23 December 2015 (UTC)
Re: "Eagle Pass borders the city of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, to the south across the Rio Grande river."
I've only been to EP a few times and flown over it several more, but it appeared to me that Piedras Negras was west, not south of EP. Google Maps supports my memory. The river is flowing N/S at that point.

"Eagle Pass lies in Maverick County, the 9th least poorest county in the country, due mainly to nolack of employment beyond the public sector, city" This sentence makes no sense. Double negative. I would correct it, but I'm not sure what this person is trying to say. 24.23.104.154 (talk) 04:10, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
The caption below the picture of the International Bridge reads as if it were the only bridge servicing the border in EP/PN. There are in fact two, which the caption should probably note. Hkobb7 (talk) 03:45, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
Removed unsubstantiated factoid originally entered in July 2008 by a (now) permanently banned user, of which the central "historical fact" was randomly and radically changed in January 2013 by a repeat vandal, with same central "historical fact" randomly and radically rechanged in September 2014 by an unregistered one-time-only editor. All three random different versions picked up and reused as "fact" by other sites. Jmg38 (talk) 15:57, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
First United States Settlement?
[edit]Is there a citation for the article's claim that Eagle Pass is the "first American settlement" on the Rio Grande? That is, the first settlement established by the United States of America? Inkan1969 (talk) 21:09, 30 April 2014 (UTC)

No reference to migrant crossings?
[edit]Eagle Pass has been at the center of the ongoing migrant crisis for years now. Why is there no mention of this? There ought to at least be a link to an article explaining the situation. Many people undoubtedly come here to read about the current situation, who probably never heard of Eagle Pass until the crisis. 2601:44:402:A93F:288B:72A8:F5C0:BD30 (talk) 06:24, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
