expand
[edit]Could we get some actual content here. This is actually below a stub, it's just a directory listing, and Wikipedia is not a directory. If there is something to say about this company, say it already. Beeblbrox (talk) 19:39, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- I didn't write the article. I never heard of it until now. I am an admin reviewing CSDs and I saw this. While you were 100% correct to label the article as an A1, I decided to try to expand it. A google news search (this) shows me 138 hits, which is usually significant, and makes me very hesitate to delete. However most of the articles are mainly concerned about its stock prices so it is hard to get a information that an encyclopedia wants (what they do, how large are they (in people not dollars), history etc) stuff which the business sections isn't really concerned about. My gut says that there is information out there to be found, and that this is a notable company; it just might take some time to expand it. Jon513 (talk) 19:51, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- Well, it's come quite a ways in just the few minutes since I made that remark. The initial creation still puzzles me, why would someone create an article, put it in a category, but not provide one word of content? I guess I'll just have to accept that there are things we are not meant to understand... Beeblbrox (talk) 20:08, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- He did expand it diff it just took 15 minutes. Jon513 (talk) 20:13, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
AGeasy (talk) 17:13, 27 June 2014 (UTC)I am an employee of EZCORP. I work in the Communications Department and am responsible for keeping online information about the company up to date.
The information in the EZCORP article is out of date, having last been updated in 2008. My intent is to add updated information and correct errors
Change in company's interest in Albemarle & Bond
[edit]AGeasy (talk) 17:58, 3 July 2014 (UTC)During the 2nd quarter of EZCORP's FY14, the company adjusted their investment in Albemarle & Bond down to zero, resulting in a $6 million after-tax write off, per 4/29/14 press release. I am updating the article to reflect such.
AGeasy (talk) 19:26, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[1]Management changes effective 7/18/14
66.45.78.164 (talk) 19:22, 22 July 2014 (UTC)On 7/18/14, MS Pawn Limited Partnership, which owns 100% of EZCORP's outstanding Class B Voting Common Stock, announced certain changes to our management and Board of Directors. As a result, Paul Rothamel and Board members William Love and Joseph Beal are no longer with the company. The voting stockholder also appointed Lachlan P. Given as Chairman of the Board. On 7/21, Mark Kuchenrither accepted the position of Interim CEO. Editing the info in the right panel to reflect these changes. Will update article soon.
Major clean up
[edit]This article was bloated and mostly unsourced. There was an over reliance on self published sources such as the company website and press releases. I've removed uncited content and am rebuilding the article using reliable secondary sources. Comments and assistance is welcomed.-- — Keithbob • Talk • 00:26, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
