2009 deletion

[edit]

If pokerstars is on wikipedia, why etoro doesnt? I stop filling info till the menace of deletion is over — Preceding unsigned comment added by HellMind (talkcontribs) 10:08, 17 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Pokerstars article asserts notability. In other words, it says (in its first sentence) why it deserves a page on Wikipedia: "PokerStars is the largest online poker cardroom in the world." This article does not, hence why this page is being nominated for deletion. You might also be interested in WP:YFA and WP:OSE. - Jarry1250 (t, c) 10:14, 17 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi everyone,

I'd like to find out why someone has placed this tag:

at the beginning of the page...

Where specificaly in the content, did you find something that suggests advertising? Also, how do you suggest to correct that... Tnx, Adi — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adiyagil (talkcontribs) 16:11, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well sourced article, notable subject. Might need to be cleaned up but not deleted and definitely not speedy deleted. 50m race walk (talk) 07:00, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

MGNTL.L section - pure original research

[edit]

I don't want to edit-war and revert the article once more, but the section is a pure original research with no reliable sources and no notability. I kindly ask its authors (@Deipara: and @Mr Alfredo 1979:) and other editors to either remove the section or edit it, so it complies with Wikipedia's guidelines. Racism behind the repeated deletion of the Etoro people link?

[edit]

As long as article names are case insensitive, and this is not a disambiguation page, it becomes very difficult for people to find the article to the ethnic group without this link. Reminder that the Etoro people have been around for a hell of a lot longer than the eToro company. Please refrain from removing it in the future. --Shiggerino (talk) 10:54, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Etoro steal customers money with Sberbank stock

[edit]

Please far away from etoro, they just steal your money, as they did with all our investments in Sberbank stock, they lied from the beginning that we own shares in our name, and now they refuse to give money back as other brokers did already, but etoro do not respect customera is a SCAM, everyone far away, if you don't trust come to etoro platform and find Russian company see how people are screaming for an answer where our money is... And etoro blocked us 82.137.32.193 (talk) 07:25, 27 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Bullsheet acquisition source

[edit]

@David Gerard: Why do you consider tech.eu a non-RS? What kind of a source would you consider an RS in this case? The acquisition was also covered by industry news websites like leaprates.com, financefeeds.com, and financemagnates.com, which I would personally consider RS on the subject and which are widely used on Wikipedia. Vgbyp (talk) 10:57, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's a startup promotion site. It is not a WP:NEWSORG, even a specialist one. Look at its about page. This is promotional fluff. Has a single clear RS covered this? - David Gerard (talk) 12:07, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
To me, it looks like an industry news website. I would consider it and any of the following RS for the purpose of this article:
However, I'm not bent on including this acquisition paragraph in the article. If you believe that the poor quality of the sources outweighs the information value of adding this bit of the company's history, we can just skip it. Vgbyp (talk) 18:34, 19 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Offices

[edit]

Hi everyone. Should Wikipedia even mention where any company has offices? I understand why need put HQ, it is fine. But lol company can create offices in 15 countries including Somali, Spain, Senegal and it will be appears in heading? I against that form of promotion by any company. I removed lines on that matter. 0dd b1t (talk) 10:48, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that's important information because it informs readers on where the company operates or is legally registered. This information should be presented if backed by WP:RS. Vgbyp (talk) 10:01, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Marketing and expansion

[edit]

Removed paragraph due to possible likely promotion. At least it should've be rewritten with widest description why it is notable or relevant or any. See WP:MIL 0dd b1t (talk) 10:52, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I see how that section would be somewhat WP:PROMO, but what does it have to do with WP:MIL? Vgbyp (talk) 09:59, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
