Fair use rationale for Image:Logo EDP.JPG
[edit]Image:Logo EDP.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Someone made a messy job here: "and it is also present in the electricity sectors of Latin America – with a major presence in the US, Brazil, Africa and Macau, in the generation, distribution and trading businesses." The article quotes latin america and then proceeds to name the US , Brasil and even continents (africa). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.250.69.210 (talk) 18:49, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit]- China Gets Stake in Portugal's EDP by Patricia Kowsmann and Wayne Ma December 23, 2011, excerpt ...
Portugal's government said on Thursday that China Three Gorges Corp. won the bidding for its 21% stake in EDP-Energias de Portugal SA with an offer of €2.69 billion ($3.51 billion), in the first of a series of sales of state-owned assets under its austerity program. The deal marks the first time a mainland Chinese firm acquired a significant stake in a southern European company and may portend other such moves as cash-strapped European governments from Madrid to Athens have been clamoring for Chinese funding to help them finance gaping budget deficits.
- China Three Gorges Claims Edge in Bidding for Stake December 19, 2011, 9:54 A.M. ET by Wayne Ma reporting from Beijing, excerpt ...
China Three Gorges Corp. said Monday that it has a slight edge in bidding for the Portuguese government's sale of a 21% stake in Energias de Portugal SA, and that it hoped the winning bid would be based on commercial rather than political considerations. Three Gorges said in a written statement that Portuguese media have questioned whether the stake sale to a Chinese company would pose a threat to Portugal's economy. China's Ministry of Commerce has publicly expressed a desire for Portugal to uphold market principles and treat bids openly, fairly and transparently, Three Gorges added. ...
