Re. the reference to Thribb's age, might it be a reference to Adrian Mole (who had a habit of writing similarly awful poetry)? I'm not sure how long the column has been going.

Having looked into it, it would appear not.

Thribb was signing with his age long before Sue Townsend's Adrian Mole - can't find a quick reference to first publishing date but I read Private Eye before Mole was published

Thribb reads Wikipedia

[edit]

His latest oeuvre (Eye 1175, page 23) includes:

Marmaduke Hussey,
Former Chairman
Of the BBC.
Sadly, there is very little
About you on
Wikipedia.
And the same goes for
Frank Johnson.

The thing of it is, he's right. Sam Blacketer 22:57, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Who is it?

[edit]

The first paragraph states it is actually Barry Fantoni, but the final paragraph states he retired in 2010. So, which is it? --TBM10 (talk) 21:41, 18 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
