I couldn't find an obituary at the Virginia Historical Society yesterday, so apologize for not adding a death date or legacy section. Ames did write a bar association memorium for a fellow attorney in the 1930s, but his wife's garden club article doesn't include biographical info on either (though it does mention Accokeek County history). I have limited resources and don't live anywhere near this district, so I cannot look into whatever local library clippings file might exist. Also, a politicalgraveyard.com site lists his religion as Presbyterian, and I know there's a strong Presbyterian community in his home area, but I went with the religion in Griffith Dodson's legislative biography book, which was based on questionaires circulated to General Assembly members.Jweaver28 (talk) 14:33, 3 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
