Population Error

[edit]

The page, as of August 6, 2010 (1:31pm Eastern Time) states that the Dutch population of Suriname is 210,000, without citing a source. However, as the entire population of Suriname is 481,267, this would mean that the Dutch make up around 44% of the population, which is refuted at Demographics of Suriname and by the CIA World Factbook, which claim that Europeans make up 1% and 5% of the Surinamese population, respectively.

Also, the language used in the article's body, "Although most Dutch settlers left Dutch Guiana in November 25, 1975, Dutch population in the nation grew suddenly to 210,000", strongly suggests that the information is invalid. As such, I have decided to remove the obviously inaccurate figure from both the infobox and the main body, replacing the infobox value with "undetermined" until a more accurate figure can be agreed upon. --WhyteCypress 17:44, 6 August 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Whytecypress (talkcontribs)
