Evidence of her being alive?

[edit]

Is there any evidence from the last 10 years that Dusty's still alive? If so, is it something that can be used as an inline citation in the article? Thanks. OscarL 14:50, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Evidence

[edit]

Is there any evidence that Dusty is still alive cause i haven't found anything on her --ThatBaileyLad (talk) 23:43, 14 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

ThatBaileyLad, the latest thing that I can find in that regard is this article, which says that Anderson celebrated her 99th birthday on December 17, 2017. I don't know how reliable Fabiosa is; I had not heard of it before I found the article. A search in WP's Reliable Sources Noticeboard didn't turn up any mention of Fabiosa.Eddie Blick (talk) 18:40, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Well in regards to that article it does seem like she is possibly still alive but that doesn't mean she hasn't passed in the 2 years following as there was no article to say she celebrated her 100th birthday in 2018 but at least we might know she was alive when she was 99. --ThatBaileyLad (talk) 18:57, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Coincidentally, ThatBaileyLad, a few minutes after I read your reply to my comment, I found this How to handle this message that deals with a similar question. Maybe someone will respond to that post with something that will apply to this article. Eddie Blick (talk) 00:17, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
So i may have found a thing that indicates Dusty is alive at 100 but i'm not sure how accurate this http://www.vipfaq.com/Dusty%20Anderson.html --ThatBaileyLad (talk) 16:01, 5 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
My first impression is that the page would not meet Wikipedia's standards for a reliable source. Maybe somebody else will offer an opinion. Eddie Blick (talk) 00:12, 6 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
So i know this won't qualify for a legitimate source but it could explain why there was nothing on her celebrating her birthday 100th birthday as i've seen another one somewhere else saying she died at 99 but this could just be rumors. https://www.whosdatedwho.com/dating/dusty-anderson --ThatBaileyLad (talk) 00:33, 4 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Location for retirement

[edit]

I have reverted the edit in "Personal life" that changed "settled in Paris in retirement" to "moved to Paris before settling in Marbella, Spain, where Negulesco died of heart failure in 1991". No citation was added to support the change. Meanwhile, the already cited newspaper article says, in its last paragraph, "In 1971, Negulesco went to live in happy retirement in Paris with his second wife, the ex-model Dusty Anderson, and wrote his autobiography, Things I Did And Things I Think I Did."

Perhaps the couple did, at some point, settle in Spain. If so, an additional citation is needed before inserting the material before a citation that does not support it. Eddie Blick (talk) 02:01, 24 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
