Green's function

[edit]

I think we should add a note about the fact that it's an obvious example of Green's functions application. Mclaudt (talk) 02:35, 30 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Special Case

[edit]

The article describes only a special case (ordinary differential equations of 2. order). There is a different Definition of the Integral here in the context of PDEs: Encyclopedia of Mathematics (Springer), more like the explanation in Duhamel's principle.--Claude J (talk) 18:04, 6 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Duhamel's Integral is very often encountered in engineering as the so-called superposition integral, i.e. the convolution operation in the theory of linear systems. This particular article seems to be something of an orphan, detached from the more general discussion of linearity and superposition across the other relevant articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2607:FCC8:BD57:5300:DC4:1959:ABD0:1EB4 (talk) 04:34, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
