The latest rough draft of history
[edit]How can the article have a tag for being overly long and a tag for being a stub? Anyone have a bot that will count the pages in Wikipedia with both designations? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.255.0.91 (talk • contribs) 12:04, 12 June 2007
- It was a tag for an overlong synopsis but it shouldn't have been there. It's gone now. Doctor Sunshine talk 17:51, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
Jungle Boogie?
[edit]The article says there's a singer performing "Jungle Boogie" - which according to its Wikipedia article was written in the 1970s. Unless a TARDIS or Delorean was involved, I don't really see how this is possible. 68.254.175.174 17:46, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
There are 2 different songs called Jungle Boogie, both completely different. The one you're thinking of is the Kool and the Gang song, the other one is in the movie Drunken Angel. Do a search on google for "drunken angel" and "jungle boogie" and you'll see various comments about the scene involved. You can also see a cover of the song by Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra on Youtube. The mention of the song in this article can be re-inserted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.66.31.74 (talk) 00:00, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
- I noticed that when I removed the plot tag but for some reason didn't do anything about it. That's gone now too. Doctor Sunshine talk 21:07, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
There is a song called Jungle Boogie in the film, it's just a completely different song from the Kool & The Gang track. Kinketsu (talk) 23:56, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
Background/production censorship issues
[edit]I added this information because it's "hidden" history to most. The American occupation in Japan set up a censorship board, which Kurosawa and other filmmakers had to comply with. He managed to buck the system pretty extensively in this film, in keeping with its personal nature for him. --Utilizer (talk) 22:50, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
