Authorship
[edit]I have read most of the American Dray Prescot series published by DAW. The internet exposed me to the additional books. This article does not expand upon whether Alan Burt Akers (aka Dray Prescot, Kenneth Bulmer) wrote these additional books and whether (as an Englishman) he did so in English. If I learned German, or all of these books were translated into German I would probably still read them.

- Yes, Kenneth Bulmer did write the additional books, and did write them in English. The versions published in Germany were German translations. The original English versions of a few of the additional books were later made available as e-books, but most of the additional books remain unavailable in English. BPK 05:10, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Gratuitous insult
[edit]Seriously, who wrote that crappy 'Setting' section with all the extra links it? Bush league.
- I did, along with the rest of the article. I notice that you didn't deem it "crappy" enough to actually attempt to improve, aside from all the delinkings. So either it couldn't have been all that bad or you didn't feel yourself capable. Of course, what's really bush league is insulting people anonymously. When I venture an opinion, I'm not afraid to put my name to it. You might consider standing behind your statements – and learning some manners. BPK 06:20, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
Bulmer's choice of the setting ...
[edit]...for the series is a subtle tribute to the Martian series of Edgar Rice Burroughs
It's clearly a "sword and planet" setting and ERB was problably the most influental writer for this genre. But when reading the first ten or so of ABA's novels some tweny years ago, they mostly reminded me of John Norman's Gor books - minus the quite explicit sexual details and the depicting of women as "natural slaves" (eeeew:-I) in Normans novels.77.180.51.147 (talk) 08:57, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
