Italian loan words?

[edit]

Can Un chien andalou please give his evidence for 'Dramma giocoso' as a phrase adopted into the English language as a loanword? Thanks. --Kleinzach 22:56, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

L'Italiana in Algeri and frequency of performance

[edit]

I'm really not sure, that COSI FAN TUTTE is also the dramma giocoso. (For me it is opera buffa).

In this article, it says that no dramma giocoso opera's are commonly performed nowadays. The Rossini opera L'Italiana in Algeri seems like a relatively popular drama giocoso nowadays..? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 168.122.177.170 (talk) 20:40, 3 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It says frequently performed. L'Italiana in Algeri is obviously performed from time to time, but maybe not frequently. --Kleinzach 03:19, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
