I heard from Cornelia Funke's website that Inkheart and Dragon Rider are being made into a movie!

The Inkheart cast - News

The Inkheart casting is in progress and finally we are allowed to publish first news on the possible cast:

Mo - Brendan Fraser (confirmed - well, the book is dedicated to him, so there is no other Mo on this planet)

Dustfinger - Paul Bettany (negotiations in progress - please see him in "A Knight`s Tale" if you want to understand why Cornelia thinks he is the most wonderful cast)

Elinor - Kathy Bates (negotiations in progress - once again, the perfect cast for Cornelia)

Jim Broadbent - Fenoglio (negotiations in progress - can it get any better??)

Oh, yes, and Cornelia also saw the first possible (and rather wonderful) Farid. Wait and see! We hope to get more news soon...
